Interesting Ideale Saddle
 

Hi everyone. This saddle was on an old Trek that I recently purchased, and I assume it was an aftermarket item from looking at the old brochures. Anyway, I have searched the internet and bike forums and cannot find a saddle like this one. Any thought or ideas?

I had one that featured the "Daniel Rebour" presoftening and was so stamped. I recall there was some debate as to whether these "swallow style" were 'real' Ideale models or something done aftermarket, since there doesn't seem to be any documentation such as mention in catalogs or an actual model number. But, mine like this had a stamp in the leather just above the cut, so it sure looked 'factory' to me. I sold it for a pretty penny on eBay, the winning bidder was a local (for his fixie, :().
