I have a biiiiiig varsity waaaaay in the far back corner of my shed.... Thing has got to be 68cm, and with a HUGE upright riser bar, with at least 5 inches of rise. It's that weird bright almost orange almost red color. I wanted the orange fenders that came with it for my wife's bike, and the other bike that came with it was a quick flip. I dont even know what to do with this giant beast though....I've sold bikes this large with little problem, but they havent had the Varsity stigma attached :D

I don't know if there is a stigma attached , many folks seem to prize these , and a big one fills a niche market , big guys wanting to relive the 70's for whatever reason, people who like electroforged Schwinns, and folks looking for a project frame.

Seeing as your a tall man. Would you be interested in a Raleigh Super Grand Prix? like new, It has about 10 miles total on it.

Sorry for the delayed response. For some reason, the forum didn't ping me with a notice.

Shoot me a PM with your address and I'll get you a shipping quote. Or, I could just do a USPS flat-rate box. Your choice.

What's the make and name of your seat on your Schwinn?
Looks comfortable

I was hoping to slightly hijack this thread to see if anyone here knew a bit about this bike that's been hanging around in my garage (approx year, fair selling price). I am moving, and don't have room for this bike, but wanted to offload it to someone that would appreciate it. The tires will need replacing and some rust has begun, but it's not in the worst shape. Any input would be greatly appreciated. Also, if there's a better place for me to put this instead of this thread, I apologize in advance.

Where do you live? Those go on Craigslist for $20-100. Not worth shipping as they are easy enough to find wherever you go but fun to find locally. Try CL. There should be a serial number stamped down low on the head tube and/or on the headbadge. Then you can find the date of manufacture here;
THE SCHWINN DATE CODES BY YEAR,MONTH AND DAY
I'll put a dollar on 1975.

I'm in Atlanta for the next 24 hours. According to the site this is from March of 1971. Thanks for the help!
