^ Damn, I forgot how much this went for first time around. If I recall correctly, it wasn't a crazy-high price?

161 + for a shorty in a 27 with I'll grant interesting if not too cleanly executed drillium design...what a bargin...i wont search for the link but just followed an auction for a decent set of super record levers with poorly fitting and dirty white ames hoods...it must have been the 1987 claim for dating as they went for 183 and change...just about anything can happen on the bay ...I often wonder if people follow thru on some riidiculously high bids...at least imo

Funny you say that because everyone knows how the bay works and doesn't matter how high you bid you pay the last bid someone else put to beat you(works for me). I bet people try to bid a ridiculous amount so they win it easily and end up wanting to pull there hair out when someone else tried the same stunt.

you know I was bidding on a gold sedis chain from an irish seller that was going pretty cheaply ..like most pre last second auctions....this was about 5-6 years back and bargains were way more numerous....in any event i flubbed my last second bid trying to raise to 18.00 and entered 180.00 with no time left to retract bid...I won the chain for 155.00..... I nicely explained my error to the seller and he sold it to me for 18.00 plus about 5-6 bucks to ship....talk about stepping in it and smelling like arose ...what a nice guy

I had a similar thing happen with a typo making the bid of $90.08 being $9008.00 a few years back. Now I mostly stick to buy it now items unless its something I can't live without.
