Bottom Bracket spindle can't find the one I need

The bottom bracket spindle in my 1984 Centurian Pro Tour 15 is shot and needs to be replaced. It is longer (offset) on the chain ring side to compinsate for the triple. I have looked everywhere and can not find one. It should be about 127MMs long with one side being 40MMS and the other side 32MMs for a 68MM shell

Any suggestions?

Thanks,

George

UN26 cartridge bb, 127.5mm, with 4mm spacer on the drive side. $10 on line, plus the spacers. I keep 1mm, 2mm, and 3mm spacers in hand just for this purpose.

You can also still buy spindles for around $5, the size code should be on it. My guess is you have a "3U". Check Sheldon's database for more detail. A quick look at Amazon has the 3U with different dimensions than Sheldon's table.

Those 3U should be easy to find. They're still being made and should be available though your local LBS, though the end dimensions don't quite match your measurments, being 40.5mm and 35mm.

The figures for 3U in Sutherland's are 32, 52, 40.5, with the 52 being the space between "cone" lands, including the land width. So that's what OP wants, I believe: a 124.5 mm spindle, not the 127 that Capecodder has linked to.
