Help identifying this seatpost.
Hey guys, I found this seatpost at a swap meet a year or two ago. I thought it was cool, and the price was right. I've just had it sitting around since, but I've always been curious as to what it is. Here are a couple of pics:

It reads:
Max Limit
Italy
EL COF
07 00
27 2 (27.2)
The side view doesn't fully represent the airfoil-esque appearance it has. I apologize if I should have found this through a search; I couldn't find anything looking on my own. Thanks for any help guys!

Well, I figured it out... now I look dumb. There was an S almost scratched out in front of the EL COF. I must have missed it when looking for angles to take pictures of it.
Selcof https://www.selcof.it/ita/index.php is the appropriately Italian manufacturer.
I found this history on Reparto Corse: "Selcof was founded at the end of the 1940’s Bizzotto family. Until 1985 the main activity was the manufacturing of metal parts for the saddles of motorcycle, touring and racing bicycles. In 1986 the production of the aluminum seat posts for all kind of bicycles was started. Today Selcof manufactures a wide variety of seatposts for all kinds of cycling in carbon, aluminum and titanium. Thanks to the most up-to date and computerized technologies each new idea is virtually tested to fix the structural limits and to verify whether it will have the security, the lightness and the quality specifications which characterize the Selcof line of components. Professional cyclists, have always assisted the company with the development of the products by testing them directly during racing. Selcof currently works in collaboration with some of the most prestigious professional road teams such as LAMPRE, TACCONI SPORT, and PHONAK. The result of all these efforts are components that are aesthetically pleasing and superbly constructed."
Does anyone know if this seatpost would be considered vintage? The short description does say that they made posts for race bikes prior to 86 and went to a wider array of production in that year.
I found a similar seatpost with just a slight difference at the crown of the round bottom portion of the post, the selcof corsa:
