vintage parts identification
 

as n+1 sits in, i've received various bicycle parts from friends and family. anybody help me determine if they're worth keeping around?

As soon as you give a part away, another project will pop up needing that part.

I had a tendency to keep almost everything, in days gone bye. All that does is create a pile of useful and useless stuff. As the years passed, I became more selective and so too will the OP if he, or she, keeps at it.

For now, put the parts away. That little bit of stuff will not take up much room. But be careful. In a couple of years, you might need An Old Shed of your own.

Once the addiction sets in, the parts, and bikes, will pile up fast, if you are not careful.
