7 speed Shimano Bar end shifter compatibility

Got a set of 7 speed indexed Shimano bar end shifters at a swap meet. I have my Trek set up with Shimano Deore derailleurs front and rear. Also a Shimano 7 speed cassette with a triple in front. To this point , I have been using downtube shifters but would like to use the bar ends.

My understanding is that the bar ends will index with any Shimano 7 speed setup.
Is this correct?

Thanks

As long as the bar ends aren't Dura Ace, it should work.

Agreed, I've used the same shifters on several Deore DX, LX, and Exage 400LX derailleurs, they'll work fine.

In my inexperienced knowledge.. it should be fine on any 7 speed shimano setup. Thanks for posting this btw, this gives me hopes of finding myself a set.
