what colour should i paint my benotto?

Don't read any further if you hate the thought of vintage bikes being modernised...

I have decided to update my early 90s/late 80s benotto (not sure what model etc).

I am awaiting a athena groupset with carbon cranks and carbon (covered) ergos.

I also have a pair of campagnolo sciroccos ordered.

The paint is buggered so I am going to have it powder coated and the chrome fork, seat stays and chain stays re- chromed.

Question is what colour will match a part alloy part carbon groupset and (mostly) black wheels?

Thinking:

White
Light blue
Dark blue

Difficult to decide as not many other examples to compare it too! :)

Mostly white, head tube should be black. Silver on the lugs. Fancy...

Metallic Red, with gold lug linning. New Benotto decals....nice.

Dark blue and then paint some white pinstriping on afterwards

+1 on a dark blue. I think a lighter color like white wouldn't highlight the chrome enough.

It's hard to tell from the angle of the picture but is that fork ok?

Copper or bronze. Just to be different.

Early 90s Benotto...

Did you stick a 130mm rear 8/9/10 speed hub with cassette and several chain links on the small cog into the rear dropouts to make certain it'll work? Wanna be sure there's generous scalloping back there or offsetting that allows for chain clearance near the seat stay...

thanks for the ideas. still not sure maybe all chrome :) can't decide what colour seat post and seat on it either way due to the mix of chrome black and either white or blue...

ps. what did you think was up with my fork?
pps. pretty sure the conversion will work as have seen another example with the same frame...
