From the "clearance" rack at the LBS to "specials" offered by online merchants, what good deals have we seen that we can share? February is usually a great time for bargain hunters to stock up on things, since many merchants are trying to move slow inventory and bring in revenue. Thanks in advance.

PricePoint had free shipping for their subscribers but it ended yesterday, 1-29. I picked up a couple of boxes of 30m Alligator housing. Blue was $9.98 and grey was $17.98. It appears to be good quality, somewhere between the stuff Niagara sells and Jagwire. Also their Sette mtb grips are going for $1.98

If you are looking for quantity, I bought a 50M roll from this seller off ebay in Decembeer, for $44.95 plus shipping. I noticed his price is up a little from then, still a deal. You are talking about 4mm lined SIS housing for 40 cents a foot. 50M ~ 160 feet. Guy sells smaller quantities as well. FWIW: Black is $20 more... WTF...

He also sells the same stuff by the foot, for $1.75 plus shipping. No thanks!

This past November picked up some tire bargains at local GABA Bike Swap meet in Tucson, AZ.
Waited 'til when folks were ready to pack up and go home and bought a new Maxxis Detonnator 700x23 folding tire (120 PSI) for $1. Regular price around $30+.
Also 2 new Serfas Seca RS 700x23 folding tires (130 PSI) for $2 each. Regular price $30+ each.
Cheaper than on-line or LBS sale prices.

Great deal. The cheapest I've seen lately on 700s was about $7.99 for Forte Strata tires from Performance about 2 weeks ago. I'm hoping for Nashbar to have a deal on Paselas.

I'm assuming this is a good deal--essentially $10 for a box of 10-from Amazon. I think they are all out of the "blue".

Tressostar bartape is $4.50 + $6.00 shipping..I've ordered a few times already from different vendors at this price--and the orders have been subsequently cancelled..maybe someone here will have better luck. This is for a box of 10.

I just ordered two boxes of black. The order went through(although shipping was not combined)

I will keep you posted when it arrives. If it is legit, that works out to less than $1.25 per roll. Much cheaper than the $5 I pay locally. My only gripe is the length of a roll. Tressostar isn't very generous in the amount given.

How are you determining that this is for a box of 10? When I try to add these to the cart, I only see "single roll" added at the low price. When I select the $39 dollar version, it gets added as "box of 10". Not such a great deal, IMO...

I checked the black for color, and the 2600mm size. Added it twice to my cart and then checked out. I double,triple,quad,etc checked.

It looks like they only have boxes of ten for the black color. I ordered myself one. Don't choose the 2600mm length; choose the one that just has a dot.

All of my orders are for the "box of ten"..I got one each in black/blue/red. The listed price was $40+ dollars and the discount was for 90%+..so, I'm relatively certain that it's a box of 10. My total w/ shipping came out to $11/box of ten. They don't combine shipping.

I saw this deal at another store last week--but the orders were subsequently cancelled. This is a new store so hopefully it pans out. I have no idea what I'll do with all this bar-tape?? I can't let a good deal pass though.

If your total price with shipping is $16.20..then they may have combined the shipping for you..because my cost come out to $20.80 for two.

I just ordered a box of red tape. It's a different seller, along with a higher price($4.40/box of ten), for a total of $10.40 shipped.

The first order was only $1.61 per box

Update: FWIW, I did contact Amazon, and was assured the order was for a box of ten rolls.

Dang, they are out of white and black.

Hmm... I put my order in yesterday for two boxes of black, for an order total of $16.20. Haven't gotten the cancellation notice yet. Checked my order history and there it is... cancelled. :rolleyes:

Update: My order for a box of ten rolls of red Tressostar has shipped, according to Amazon. It should be here within a week.

What are the odds that only one or two rolls show up? The total was $10.40 including shipping
