That's exactly why the chainguard is like that. If you visit the A.N.T. Flickr page there's lots of photos and details. I followed this build prior to the show...great mix of old and new.

This is a reminder for me to tell you guys about my conversation with this builder. We talked for 10 minutes or so. In short, I think the bike was done very sloppily.

But did the builder think so?
Sometimes in the scramble to make a deadline, some things have do not happen.

who knows. And I totally get that as well. The frame itself looked well done (tig welded Ti), just the small details, like how he mounted the fenders and so forth were not well thought out. That said the guy obviously is talented , just not at the level of a lot of the other builders there, IMO.

I also was very impressed with this DiNucci, it would have gotten my vote (if they let me vote), although the Bishop entry was very impressive too. The Cherubim was the "sex bomb" of the show, had a crowd of paparazzi around it all hours. I was a little disappointed that there seemed to be a few notable no-shows, but maybe because business is so good they don't need to appear anymore. Surprised to see Ed Litton working for (or with?) Bruce Gordon, but not like it's step down or anything, just wonder if there'll be any more Litton frames in future. Really a treat to see so many of the heavies in person, including "new guys" like Zullo, Moulton, etc. The Zullo "show specials" for $1200 were a screamin' deal, if you were the right size for off-the-rack.

Ed was there to help Bruce Gordon out. I know they have been working together, although I don't know what they are working on. Ed defintely still has his own shop and you can definitely still get a frame built by him. Most of his work of late has been repaints (including several of mine), repairs and refurbishing. I suspect that he is also doing some overflow work for others, but that is a surmise on my part. Over the years he has done a ton of warranty work for others, and I would not be surprised if he is still doing that.

Just getting all my pictures in order. What a blast, the show was really cool, but very exhuasting.

Show picts: https://www.flickr.com/photos/jpbiker...7629175452572/
Now keep in mind, my camera isn't great, the lighting wasn't perfect, so i took the attitude that it was digital note-taking. I can get VERY good pictures of the Map Cycles bikes somewhere else, but this helps me remember the awesome Ira Ryan bike trailer setup.

I also did a big ride back to San francisco from the bay area, written up over here:
https://www.bikeforums.net/showthread...1#post13962268

Luckily I have friends in Denver as well, and will likely use this as an excuse to go visit them and ride hundreds of miles through Colorado!
