pinstripe tape for chrome/paint division?

A search didn't turn anything up - maybe I'm not using the right terms.
Here is a photo of the original tape on the frame I'm restoring. Probably only 50% of the tape is salvageable, and I'd rather replace with new when the time comes. I don't care if it is an exact match. Any recommendations?

I just painted a frame, and the fork had the chrome socks on the fork. Paint wont stick to the chrome, so I painted it to the chrome line, and then took some wire pinstriping that I got at auto zone and wrapped it at the seam, so it doesn't keep chipping. Worked well so far.

I found this site for auto pinstripe tape. No exact or close match, but I sent for some samples of dual colour stripes.

Thanks for the lead. Did Autozone have multicolor pinstriping?

It is hard to find multicolor pinstriping using tape. I suggest using Finnesse Pinstriping instead. It is a fineline mask with parallel lines and then you paint between the lines with a paintbrush or with an airbrush. I used to paint stripes on cars for a living in a former life and this stuff is a godsend.

Your photo won't open for me so i'm not exactly sure what you're looking for but if its something to cover the join between paint and panels or paint and the chrome on the fork legs check out the cyclomondo decal shop on E-Bay, Greg has a number of different styles of ready to apply bands. ... just apply and clearcoat.

I found a double-line of gold at Auto Zone, with one wider than the other. That would look good in your application.
I pulled it apart and used the wider line for my needs on a build.http://i261.photobucket.com/albums/i...picto005-1.jpg

Thanks Robbie. Among other things, I'm aesthetically challenged, so I appreciate input such as yours! :thumb:
