Need information on my Hawthorne
 

My dad was at an auction and found this 24" Hawthorne. I'm getting ready to restore it, but wanted to find out more information on it. I can't seem to find the serial number. Looked under the crank, but nothing.

Any information would be appreciated!

What info do you need?

It was made by Snyder which was the same company that made Rollfast bikes, and if you look up Rollfast you'll find a lot more info about the company than you will if you look up Hawthorne.

SN will/should be on one of the rear drop-outs

I want to find the original style of handlebars. It's got a BMX style on it now, but surely it had a different pair originally.

It more than likely came with the typical "delivery" style handle bar:

Though being from the 60s some kind of riser style bar is not out of the question:

Both types are still made in the proper clamp size for your bike by Wald.
