Yeah, that is nice! Tell me Iab, Chuck offers some that are sort of rubberized ink, for lack of a better description, and some that are actual silkscreens. Which is that one? Very cool. Might have to order one, to go with my latest avatar, thanks.

Bikes: too many or not enough

I have a couple of the ones you are talking about Rootboy. I think of them more like iron ons or something. They are very stiff and while I love the designs they are really not that comfortable and I know those kind start to crack and peel at some point unless you never put them in the dryer. But I LOVE Velo Retro.

Bikes: Click on the #YOLO

Cool shirts, but I'm always weary of someone that buys anything bike related in white.

But you change avatars quicker than shirts.

Iron on. Not silk screen.

But it was gratis for supplying the design. No complaints from me.

Guilty as charged. Don't know why I can't leave my avatar alone. I keep finding cool pics :>

My thoughts exactly BD63. Not too fond of the iron on stuff. It's too hot also. Doesn't breathe well. That said, I love Chuck's selection too. He certainly does some nice shirts. I guess true silk screening is becoming a thing of the past.

Bikes: blue ones.

Here in my college town there's a huge industry of silkscreeners to provide all the fraternities, sororities, college sports teams departemental associations etc. with shirts et. al. Maybe I can get some nicer shirts done for a good group buy price.

That a nice idea, Italuminium. Real screen printing is becoming harder and harder to find, I suppose because of the myriad steps involved, when one can just generate an image on the computer and make a heat transfer of it. They might charge you an arm and a leg for set up, unless just doing a one color design. Getting a consensus group buy accomplished here might be the biggest challenge, however.

With silk screening, the finer the line, the harder to reproduce. You can get finer silk but then you run into the problem of the ink clogging the silk. So with this design, the knocked-out Campagnolo lettering is easy. The dot pattern around the QR and the line work of the wings could be problematic.

If you do a group buy, rootboy is correct, whatever you do, do not offer options. Post the design. Say this is it, like it or lump it. Asking for input is like herding cats. It is impossible to get concensus and if people's ideas are not incorporated into the design, it seems they are less likely to compromise and then less likely to but the "concensus" design.

Maybe everyone could buy 2 or 3 to help with the cost.

I have been out of the graphics design biz for about 10 years, but I remember there were lots and lots of Silk-Screen places.
It's not very hard to make your own Silk-Screen shirts.
I would wonder about the legality of using the Campagnolo name???

Definately not legal but I doubt Campagnolo would give two hoots abot some schmoes doing a group buy on a vintage forum. Definately not worth the lawyer fees.

I would definitely be in for a high quality, silkscreen version.

I agree !
Sometimes I think, that Campagnolo would wish that all their old stuff would just disappear.

Haven't cut a screen print stencil for over 25 years myself Von Carlos. I think I still have a roll of Rubylith (?) around somewhere. I'm old tech, but I believe Iab is right about the intricacy of this particular design. Could you get the delicate detail with a photo emulsion stencil? There still are quite a few screen printing places around. Here on the Cape there are several which cater to the tourist throngs.

I'd be good for, at least, 3. It's a great design.
