- Crankset: bike came with a Deore with 48 teeth ring. Decided against a 600 as it had the Biopace oval rings and I was told they could stress your knees. So I opted for a Campagnolo Athena which I found in great condition. I know it breaks the Shimano pattern but that's what p[eople were often doing at the time, mixing different parts as long as they worked and they looked nice.

A lot of Shimano 600 tri-color cranksets came with round rings. They offered both options from the factory:

It's a Pinarello Acciaio from late 60ies - 1970 according to the Columbus decal. Everything on it is Campagnolo Nuovo Record. It is a truly loveable bike and performs really well. A few pics:

It's one of the classic strade bianche, the white roads around Tuscany. They are generally flat but have harder more cobbled sections and occasionally some tougher downhill bits. Approximately 30% of all L'Eroica routes are white roads. I am OK handling them as I am primarily a mountain biker, but they can be tough and intimidating to go fast. Great fun though, and part of the Eroica tradition.

Bike now complete
Bike setup now complete. Final changes made:
- Wheels swapped to tubs, Mavic GP4 with Campagnolo Record hubs and Vittoria Rallye 23 tubs.
- Levers swapped to NOS 600 tricolor with white hoods (sourced separately)
- Pedals swapped to period-correct Campagnolo Record.
Now looking forward to dry weather to take her out!

Caliwild yes I think so.
I've already got an older Tommasini wool jersey and a yellow and blue cap, but having seen Tiger1 's bounty above I just went and checked out their site, and all that stuff and more is there. I just bought another cap, 2 water bottles and some Tommasini socks.
I wish they did gloves as I need a new set anyway, and that would have been a nice addition to the Tommasini kit..

The white T-shirt is also worth it, nice design and good quality.
