HELP...How much would you pay for.....
 

How much would you pay for a vintage Schwinn typhoon in poor/fair condition.
I want a project bike but they say to name your price and now I'm stuck! HELP

just offer as little as possible, if he says no then he obviously wants too much for it. Start at $20 and go from there.

Pics would help too, but i'm not too familiar with this model so idk how much it's worth. Just trying to help with the negotiation.

Thanks that's what I thought! He actually has 3 vintage bikes for sale but that one is in the best condition! I might offer him 20 for that one and 50 for all 3 since they are all Schwinn! I should be able to salvage something off them right...lol

I've been known to pay $75 for a Typhoon. Remember that 26x1.75 tires won't work on 26x1 3/4 rims.

Those things will nickle and dime you to death if you want to stay with "Schwinn" parts unless you can piece together a complete bike with the three bikes.

Thanks guys! I'm a newbie...this is going to be my first rebuilt bike and I'm sooo excited! I'm gonna need ya when I'm way over my head! He took 30 for it! I think that's decent since he said the dark spots were dirt not rust! Maybe not in such bad shape after all!
