YAAAAAAAY! Looks great, any shots of the rest of the bike? I don't think I've ever seen an old Schwinn with brifters/modernized drivetrain before! (not that I look around that much)

I do still need to change my stem and bars though, so I can place the other goodies from you onboard. I may also change the tape and saddle as well.. not sure how I like so little retro with all the modern.

I think it looks pretty good the way it is, though I personally think the red on the wheels sort of clashes with the leather look a bit. Then again, I have been known to rip the decals off of Vuelta wheels, so I'm a bit biased Either way, I'm glad I could contribute to such a cool project! I might have something else for you that I think would be neat on that bike, if I can find it.

I believe one of those was one I tossed in the box the last time it passed through my hands. It was an alley find, sitting atop someone's trash can (presumably put out for the ubiquitous metal scrappers that run around our neighborhood). It came with no saddle or bolt.

Oh, be honest - those are going on one of your Treks
I'd put them on one of my bikes for laughs; why not?
Nice little haul!

Too funny.. I was just looking guiltily at a certain envelope that needs to get sent out!(Again) Are there none in the box currently? (Discovered I still have some unused vinyl recently too)

Sorry forgot to mention, the stickers are stuffed under the seat In the box, I couldn't get them in without crushing them, so I tried to put them in a safe spot obviously too safe..

Hmmm... I have a whole drawer full of various retained bearings, some headset, some cheapo hubs. I'll have to remember that the next time the box darkens my doorstep.

Could someone please tell me a bit more about these STI levers? STI stuff is newer than what I really know about, but I need some info so I can find the right home for them.
@Drillium Dude : Please re-add me!

Need a home for them? I'll send you my address!
If they don't pull cable try flushing with a can of WD-40, may take the whole can.
Look like could be 8 speed?
