Just when you thought you'd seen it all...Wheeler Bikes?
Forgive me, I know this is worthless without pics and I'll rectify that later today. I picked up a real oddball last night...the bicycle brand is Wheeler and it has a Wheeler branded saddle, seatstay cap panto and decals. The frame is definitely a bit odd...it's low-mid range Japanese with Tange straight gauge cro-mo tubing, but it has some unusual touches for a bike of this level - internal routing, panto and chromed fork and chain stays. Parts are Shimano RX100...mid-level stuff...with Mavic rims. I'm unfamiliar with the brand and was wondering if folks could clue me in on what I took home.
Condition is definitely a bit rough...the parts have lots of patina. On the plus side, it's a 48cm ST and with some attention will make a great everyday bike for a shorter person/women who wants a lugged steel frame and can't find one in her size.

I remember seeing Wheeler bikes in the late 90's. I want to say that the were a German based company/importer. One reviewer seems to think that the bikes were OK, but a few pounds heavier that other bikes in its class.

It's not light...it was actually surprisingly heavy for cro-mo, even straight gauge.
