Well uh um....yes I uh do but... I don't really intend to ride with the beverage on board, well maybe a nip or two in the Ahern flask on my Bday ride, but I would never haul a bottle of bubbly or wine around like that.

This summer, I rode while drinking a beer from a bottle just to see if I would get stopped. Pretty stupid now that I think about it. But I didn't get stopped. Is it illegal to drink and cycle in Noo Joizy?

I don't know about New Jersey, but in Virginia you can't get a DUI on a bicycle because of the way the DUI laws are worded. You can get a drunk in public. The wording is vehicle versus motor vehicle.
