Is it just me or am I the only one who finds Campy NR cranks so boring to look at.

Hi Chombi, you talk of period correct and that has to be Campy Record - as stated above. They were copied by nearly every other component manufacturer as you well know. If you want something different, yet period correct, why not look at Stronglight or TA? How about an OMAS crankset if you want the Campy Record look. It's hard to go past a "Drillium Dude" enhanced crankset though - he does a superb job.
I suppose when you think of it - it is so much fun putting a bike together and getting it just how you like it. I wish I was in your position right now.

Campagnolo built / builds good things and the look of the NR / SR stuff cleanly and gracefully 'states' its core purpose. That defines good-looking when we're talking machinery, at least for me..love it.

Recommendations on using Stronglight cranks instead sounds good as I like the models 104, 105 and 106 very much, but i don't reallylike to mixk French and Italian groups and I know it's evetually going to bug me no matter how good looking the French crank would be. The suggestion to look at Omas sounds interesting, as at least, it is Italian. I'm not familiar with their cranks though and only have encountered their BBs which I remember to be highly regarded. I'm surprised though that nothing really instantly comes to mind to be an equivalent replacement to an NR crnak that would look much more interesting. Gipimme and Ofmega cranks just don't have the same cachet that Campy cranks do.
I guess I'll just keep an eye out for any special or old custom chainrings out there to possibly combine with NR crank arms and if that does not work out, I'll just try to maybe find SR chainrings to trun NR cranks into more interesting looking SRs.
I'll post up anything I find out there that looks interesting and appropriate to the build and see what you guys think.
Thanks for the feedback so far guys!

Some images for you to consider.
OMAS crakset - note the self-extracting bolts:

TA Tevano:

Galli crankset - they came in black, silver, bronze and blue:

Again, finding chainrings to keep them going might prove a difficult task

Also, I need a set of the Christophe straps in that exact color.
The Bindas I acquired for a project don't work, so may I ask where you found them please?
PM if it is a private source if you wouldn't mind please.
