Just finished 1984 Bianchi Limted

I just finished this one for a close friend. He's the original owner of it. It's been sitting in barn for aboit 20 years. I'm surprising him with it at wok tomorrow. He should have good time talking about it with everyone that comes in his office.

New tires & bar tape? Anything else? Why no hoods on the levers?

Hoods on order. :•(

Tires, tube, bar tape, and toes straps. It needs a new saddle but I'm going to let him pick the one he wants. I gave it a.good cleaning and lube with a few new bits.

I don't mean to be too hard on you, but... It looked better before. Those blue tires are just not right on this bike. The bar tape isn't so bad, but I think it would look a lot better without the blue tires. It looks like it was a pretty clean bike to start with. What else did you do to it?

It looks great and for once I am kind of torn on the tires. I think because the frame is so large and otherwise plain they don't look too bad and they certainly make the little blue flash on the decals pop.

Ditch the pump clip unless he plans to use it. Also the toe straps could be done better. The part that holds the buckle on should be right up against the pedal cage. then give the strap a twist as your run it through the cage to keep it from slipping. Anyone have a pic?

I hope he apreciates all the hard work and uses it this time around.

Looks very nice. I have a 1981 Limited too. I'm happy with it and have started to put a few miles on it. Nothing compared to some on this site, but I'm out riding it - just like it was meant for when it was made 31 years ago.

There's a vintage ride a week from Saturday, can't wait to go. I'm ready to start my CAAD8 build, the parts are all here or on their way. This will be my first bike ever with brifters - Campy Veloce Ultrashift.

I also have a Bianchi Limited that Bianchigirl identified as a 1984.
Drummerboy - Could you confirm that the tubeset decal matches the one below?

My 57cm 1983 Limited has the Ishiwata 022 tubing labels on F&F. I believe rhe frame was brazed in Japan, as was my 1980 Super.

The 022 is a heavier guage than typical 531, more of a general cro-mo than a pro tubeset.

The SuperSet label must have started in 1984. Does the frame have a label showing country of origin?

my fork has 022 sticker, SuperSet on seat tube. No country of origin. I have assumed the frame is made in Japan not brazed in Italy.
I'm 6'1" 195lbs and really like the ride/handling on the Limited. Mine appears to be same size as Drummerboy's.
