Help identify this Trek 1200

Helping a friend who just picked this up. Aluminum, RX 100 group.

early 90s.

I don't think 92's had a black stem like this one does.

So they added a black stem then. The 93 is all silver, and the 1991 is yellow with black splatter paint.

Edit: if you read the spec sheet I linked, it says "Trek forged all alloy black" for the stem. So there.

I guess it is a 92'. This has Function Specific Design written in TT and the graphics have orange and purple around the TREK lettering on the DT.
