Lurking no more...hello all.
Hi Everyone,
I've been lurking around here for some time now and can't seem to ignore this place so thought I would join in. You all have been inspiration and help on my C&V journey that has just begun. With that said I thought I would share some of my C&V rides, so here goes.
1.) Old Peugeot uncetain of age when I picked it up a thrift store. Frame a little large for me and has gone through a few transitions (as all my bikes seem to). Worked out to be a really nice cruiser for me now and I think it will remain this way.
2.) 1983 Peugeot PB12 sporting a mix of components: cheap crankset. Tiagra FD & RD, Durace 9 speed DT shifters etc. Used as my "fast" cruiser.
3.) (Faux) Gios Super Record. This bike started its life as my winter beater bike and is actually a Ascente ProLite frame. My understanding from the LBS was that it was a second tier race bike in its time that came with a Shimano 600 groupset and was a horrible yellow, orange, green colour scheme. I wanted a GIOS but couldn't afford one and this is the end result. It has been a touring bike with a rack, a fixie, has been dark blue, metalic red and this is the final incarnation. Running gear is Ultegra 9 speed brifters and brakes, 600 cranks with new rings, 105 FD and Tiagra RD, Alex DA22 rims with Sora hubs VO roller headset, setback seatpost and leather saddle.
Future projects coming are a Raliegh Sprite frame that will be setup with a Sturmey Archer 2 speed kick-back coaster brake wheel and I think VO Tourist bars. I also have my grandfathers 1937 CCM that I am working on restoring and trying to reuse as much of the old girl as I can - was originally going to media blast her but decided to keep it as original as possible.
Well, that's it for now. Thanks for looking and hope to chat with you all soon.
Darren

Welcome! I like that aero wheel on your commuter good luck with restoring the CCM, you'll find plenty of similar projects here, plus the people who build them offering a wealth of advice.
