Verot et Acier Diamant

-----

Came upon this photo of a cottered spindle from a Dilecta bicycle marked with the Acier Diamant shooting star device but with the letters LV (for Louis Verot) inside it.

Got me to wondering regarding a relation between Acier Diamant and Verot.

Some Verot history here:

https://fr.wikipedia.org/wiki/Stronglight

More commonly the Acier Diamant shooting star insigne appears like this:

There's more evidence of the two being related. This set is currently for sale in Poland:

Well, yes, Stronglight and Acier Diamant are both Verot et Perrin. Here's a picture heavy place to start -

Most information on Stronglight and Louis Verot is in French, although if you are oriented to names and bike terms you don't need a lot of French. You will likely need to try multiple search engines. Google is massively Anglo-centric, xenophobic, averse to history, averse to anything not producing immediate ad revenue.
