Concord

For the two or three people( including myself) who posted questions about Concord bicycles....... I found out from the Kawahara website that they were the manufacturers of Concord, Schwinn, Takara, Puch, as well as many other bikes in the late '70's. Just thought some folks might be interested.

...and the Kawahara(?) website link is...? Thx.

Lets see, Kawamura, Kuwahara, Kanamura, Kawahara?

Anybody ever seen a Kawamura Silk track bike?

Yup Yup. Concords were hi-ten bike boom Kurahara's.

I've got both a Concord "Freedom 12" and a Kurahara "Count" touring bike. The Kurahara-badged bike is infinately nicer with its forged dropouts, neat seat tube cluster and nicly painted (for the time) lugged cromoly tubes.
