I just bought a set of new hubs, which we all know means I now have to build up new wheels. I've been out of the loop for a while and made the "mistake" of buying a set of Sun Assaults to build up a set of wheels when I first came back. They're holding up, but I'm a bit worried about the light(ish) weight (mfr= 405g). What is a nice set of rims that I can build up into fast clincher training wheels....at less than $75ea? I'm not much interested in aero.

VO PBP rims on sale for $30 each, not show rims since they have scratches, but that's a heck of a deal.

love the sun m13ii rims i put on my falcon recently. got em off ebay for $30/ea (incl. shipping, though i haggled for that price from a seller in a nearby state). i run 700x23c, and with these you can go up to 28mm width easily. i put a 32h on the front and 36h on the back, but at my weight (160 lbs), maybe even the 36h is overkill.?. built em up with nr hubs and sapim db spokes ($0.40/ea at danscomp). looking back, i should have ordered a coupl more rims at the same time to save on shipping for future builds...

Sun CR18 are nice. they may be a bit fattish for a sleek road machine but mine built into good solid wheels.
