22" wheel size OLMO.

missing alot of stuff and it is not that easy to find the stuff.
my thinking is the frame is of quality then I could build it up, fun project for me and the daughter.

You are the guy who was looking for a decent kid's racing bike a month or three ago, no? Then yes, I'd say you should. The auction doesn't say what the frame is made of, but at the present price it doesn't really matter. What's it missing, aside from the front wheel?

The lugs look like Olmo, maybe it is?
if you supersize the pictures you can see them.

most of these bikes have sketchy pedigrees, Dad's paint them up like their favorite framebuilders.

OH NO! now I got to go back to feebay and start searching for all the bits!

Looks pretty nice. IMHO the biggest headache will be finding that front wheel and a set of tires. The rear wheel looks like alloy, that's a plus. Good luck with it. Kids love bikes so I'm sure this will be a big hit.

I have heard from the german website that one should waste no time completing these little classics...the kids hit a growing spurt and you may never get it done in time!
whatwolf- can you lift and past the other shots?

smal bit of info- wheelchairs....and especially competition wheelchairs share the same 24" rims and tyres!

Nice. Doesn't look like it needs much at all, just a front wheel, stem and bars.

The front fork may (?) be a weird spacing, less than 100mm. My son's little Peugeot was 90mm spaced if I recall, I had it spread to use standard hubs, rather than re-use the original hubs. If you can't spread those forks, you can get the narrow hubs on eBay with a bit of looking.

thanks for the pics, this is going to be a fun and challenging project,
like driving on the wrong side of the road in UK,

JYL- do you have any pics?

are the bars and brakelevers miniature on yours?

The bar was miniature, but also steel :-( so I ditched them for a narrow aluminum bar.

The brake levers - hmm, don't recall if they were miniature. My son is 12 y/o so he can use adult levers, I used some Mavic 440 SSC levers plus inline levers.

I can send you, or post, pics of the original wheelset's hubs. They are sitting, dirt and all, in the garage. But I'm leaving on a biz trip as I type this, won't be home for 3 days.

It looks like you can re-use the components, they look pretty good in condition and quality.

Not so with mine so I ended up replacing everything but the BB cups and headset. One thing, I didn't like the original gearing with not much difference between the chainrings (a nominally "10 speed" bike was barely more than a 1 x 5) so I went to a 50-34. Your crankset looks the same. Don't know how anal or original you want to be about the gearing here, but BMX cranks come in short crank lengths and many will take double 110 BCD chainrings.

For 24" rim and tire, also look at recumbents (front wheel) and BMX sources.

I don't think it would make sense to send bits from US to Finland, but if you really need the bar, stem, hubs, or other bits I took off my son's bike, just PM. I can check if the levers are miniature, they are Mafacs (with half hoods in poor condition) so no prize.

from humanreisberg (fellow forumite)

"Hi Mike,

The "Vittoria Juniores" tyres are also available on ebaynote these are easy to find in sport wheelchair stores also!)

https://www.ebay.com/itm/Vittoria-Jun...item23199ca806

But i don't know a source for small rims or any small handlebar, but they exist:

https://www.ebay.com/itm/ARAYA-Model-...item2ebd970307

But i also know, that the company MICHE has a production line for kids racing bikes, maybe they are offering rims too?

I hope this might help you, if i find any new sources, i will send you a mail.

Regards from Berlin
Kilian"

https://www.stefanoboggia.it/en/rims/...are-corsa.html

https://www.stefanoboggia.it/en/road-...-tread-22.html

I will bring this thing to the states in AUG or SEPT and then mail it on to who ever is interested in it.
or
shipping from finland is about 60 bucks

PM me if there is interest- or she goes up on fleabay.

1 lugnut just paid a hell-o-a-lot more for just a bare frame.
