I have a trio of bikes wearing this size. Every new tire presented as replacement brought visions of an ancient relative about to be fitted with Orthopedic shoes. I love the handling characteristics of all my English 1,3-5 speeders. Has anyone had experience with Vredestein Perfect Girandos' or similar?

I have about 7-8 bikes that run that size I have Michelin World Tour, Schwalbe Delta Cruisers, Kenda, IRC, Bell and Panaracer Col de la Vie. The Panaracer and Michelin are my favorites, with the Schwalbe being a good tire too.

My 3-speed is running Kendas, but when (if?) they ever wear out, I'm eager to try the Panaracers.

I've been running Kenda's tan walls on a few "lightly" ridden bikes. They seem to wear well and feel rather supple and as a bonus didn't cost much. Since they are nearly slicks they fill the "Sporty" catagory rather nicely.

Has anyone tried the Vredstein Perfect Girandos? I'm very curious about fit & grip. I have Kendas' on my '69 Sprite 5spd. Grips well enough really but spongy, yes. I may go for the Michelin or Panasonics. The Hercules in line for this is a bit shorter in wheelbase and from my experience will prove an exciting swap. Its so untouched-.. its wearing Montgomery Ward Riverside tires currently. Paint & chrome are near 90% I'd say.
If it were human it would have blue velvet trousers and a leisure jacket w/lapels like a 747.

Fill 'em to 55psi and they are hard as rocks! I'm 240lbs and would not describe the ride as spongy at all.
