I would never steal a bike, and I found this pic on another website, but I do think it's just about the most beautiful bike I've ever seen. In fact, it goes beyond that......it just seems the very definition of "badass vintage racing bike" to me:

BigBossMan's De Rosa. there is a big problem with this though, as I recall BBM understands what a 155 grain swallowtail means in terms of ballistics for a matchgrade .308

Bahhh - a non-red De Rosa Primato is like having a non-red Ferrari. Sure - it's still a Primato (barely), but you have to wonder why they can afford the Primato and not a paint job

I swiped Jan's Look Equipe a few months ago, and my gf & I have been luxuriantly, tantalizingly building it up.
I feel guilty about getting it for such a good price, since I lost an auction for this bike in my size back in '05 or '07 by more than twice his price.
It's got a silver Thomson stem on it now, and I've been vacillating between this yellow seatbag and an identical red one.

Now if I can just swipe someone's lighter, stronger motor, I'll be in business.

Sailorbenjamin has this '42 Columbia Sports Tourist, see: https://www.bikeforums.net/showthread...olumbia+sports
and it is HIS BIKE.
HIS.
BIKE.
But if he sold it to me, I'd louse it up somehow, at which point it'd become MY BIKE. Bleh.

If I were to swipe a bike from a fellow forumite, it would need to meet several criteria.

1) Original (not refinished)
2) Rare
3) IGH equipped
4) Comfortable on long rides
5) English

With that said, I think I already "swiped" the bike that meets all of these criteria.

This thread is not fair.

far to many bikes that some one on this thread owns that I really like.

Scoppers Paramount, DD' everything, BG has some really nice stuff, and we won't speak of the teraplane!

To many to pick from!
