Existence of first-gen 1984 C-Record Pista crankarms (engraved logo) in 175mm?
Title says all. No picture.
Found one at a local shop a few days ago (NOS, no less), but I couldn't quite make heads or tail of it. I know the '84s were the only versions to have engraved shield logos (and the crankarm is dated [11]), and it was indeed a C-Record pista arm (permanently-installed, press-fit chainring bolts, no inner chainring shelf), but it was a 175mm. Velobase doesn't even account for the later ones in 175mm. Oddball? Rare as heck? You tell me. -Kurt |
It's a fluke, I'll give it a good home......

I'd say regular production.

EDIT: Just checked Catalog 18. Looks as if they produced them from 165mm through 180. -Kurt |
Found an orphaned left 175mm crank arm. Not engraved but still campy.

Era (pre-'95 shield or post-'95 lettered)? Price? -Kurt |
I think mine are 4 in a circle.

If I recall right, both the circle-4 and square-11 codes refer to 1984.

175mm seems long for a pista arm, no?
