Dangerous streets

Hello Guys,

A few days ago a distracted driver decided to be in my lane of traffic. This has put fear into me, as we were going less than 20mph. This happened right next to a bike lane. All I keep thinking is this kid could have hit any of us on our bikes. You can see the bike lane in the picture.

You are parked in a bike lane. Bad Mike.

You want fear? How about what a Mercedes CLK 230 can do to you? KK_inj4.jpg

You're right. That was a second after it happened, I jumped out and took a picture of his tag and my damage. Then we moved into a center turn lane .

Were you "Bicycular Driving" your car in the bike lane?

Ouch. That's a pisser. New door time. But you're right. Could just have easily been you on a bike instead of your truck. Scary.

Welcome to my world. I like to think of that fear as a good thing.
Too much of it, and you will just stop riding on streets...:(

But just the right amount will provide the proper paranoia for survival.:D

That's my Red dodge truck, was in almost new condition. It's headed to the Body shop on Tuesday. Like I said, he could have easily hit any of us on our bikes. If he can't see a big red truck, what are the chances he would see anyone on a bike?

Depends. Would he be able to see a Big Red Dog?
