Jim, that last picture just might be my favorite ever posted on bikeforums...

Looks like you've built up quite the collection. I seem to remember just a year or so ago it was just the Pug and the Raleigh.

What's the orange one?

Just some old Peugeots I had hanging around...

There are two that I might build, one day...

This lovely old Mixte...

And this PE41 Roadster, which I have collected all of the missing parts for...

The others have all been sold.

Great pics, Jim! The one of you laying on the grass among the bikes is a classic. You really need to come down to Leesburg to Cirque as I think you'd have a wonderful time. BTW, your tandem reminds me: I have a recent acquisition which I'll soon be revealing and believe you'll find very interesting

Randy, you always have a great collection. But I see several pairs of bikes of the same color in your pics. They really don't count, you know.

4R6S,
First, thank you for the nice compliment. I'll pass it on to my sweetie who took that one! I must point out that today is our 35th wedding anniversary. We were hanging out in the yard, doin' nuthin' in particular.

Yes, for many years I did have just the Pug and the Raleigh. As I'm typing this I recall that the UO8 is the only bike I ever bought new. The rest were literally basket cases started from bare frames and a random part or two. Two of the frames dropped into my lap unexpectedly. I don't know whether to thank or blame C&V for all this.

Th orange bike is (so I've been told) a '72 Bertin C-32, one of those made in Belgium after Andre's shop had a fire. It is still incomplete and obviously I haven't ridden it yet.

Congratulations on the anniversary Jim! It's great to see that there are people out there still that believe in the marriage vow. Other than me and my wife, only know of one of my contemporaries is still married to his first wife. Again, congratulations!

Dallas, you can count on Mrs. PB and me as well. 32+ years and going strong.

Jim, I should have offered my kudos to you and Sharon in the above post, but couldn't bare (sic) to mix the metaphors! I'll do so on Saturday.

Speaking of which, can I have a signed edition of the "Reclines with Cycles" photo when I see you? In fact, it would also make the perfect picture for a June calendar page (6 bikes, 6th month).

Thank you! And I am amazed, I say amazed, by your own photo! (And by the flattery. Or was my photo copying yours?)

Where did you dig up such a remarkably similar collection of bikes??

Amazed, simply amazed.

Certainly not a coincidence, just a tribute

When I saw the post I thought a tributre photo would be a good idea, and when I thought about it I was surprised that in the bikes I currently have at my house closely matched yours.

What I find amusing other people think is silly. I wasn't going to post it at first but I manned up and posted it.
I am glad that you enjoyed it.

PS - love the tandem

prettyshady, that is great and a TON of fun! That is a nice tribute to Jim, to say the least. I find the picture amusing AND silly, but that's one of the best things about the forums is that it allows us opportunity to do things like this. It only reinforces the community we have here.

Gosh, even the angle of the bikes on the ground looks very similar. Might you be related to each other in some way, or did the aliens visit you both and implanted some sort of mind control chip in your bodies??.....
The pics are almost spooky to look at....
