How many Project do you have going at once?
OLMO ROSSIN...I may be biting off more than I can Chew.
Just started the Rossin build, when the Olmo frame in Bavaria caught my eye. How many Project do you have and how much is too much???
Need to wait an see what shape the Olmo is once she arrives. Updates to follow.

I usually have several going, but most of them only in my mind. Often I find it just takes a single perfect component find to get something from on the rack to on the road. Usually the thing that gets me off my duff is finding just the right crankset to match a frame, the rest seems to fall into place and often with stuff just lying around.

- Campy Ergo lever rehab for a crash-prone BFer
- Early 70s Guerciotti frame restoration
- 74 Colnago Super PC restoration (on the way)
- First-gen DA black anodized chainring drillium (on the way)
- Campy NR seatpost and chainring drillium (on the way)
- More drillium for my own projects
- Clean-up and polishing of about 20 Campy parts for sale or use

Currently at bat: Replace the FD, chainrings and tires on my IF in prep for the D2R2.
On deck: Update my AX with a new carbon threadless fork and Moots threadless stem.
On deck: Strip and repaint my new Look frameset (after I receive it and decide if it's worthy). Then start accumulating 11s Campy...
On deck: Find somebody who wants the 20+ lower end bikes in my parents' barn I had planned to rehab and sell before work and school took over.
Question for you, Bill. With the 100 odd bikes you have in stock, how do you keep track of what you have and what stage it's in? Epic spreadsheet? Or do you just stroll into the bike room(s)(houses) and randomly pluck a new project to start rehabbing?

I always work on two bikes at once, its just how I do it. Now that is active projects. I will often strip a frame down, see if I have an issues or problems, and set it aside for future completion (accumulation of needed parts, waiting for the next rust campaign, or whatever). So while I am working on two, I have a hefty backlog of projects to complete.

I currently have two going, an 86 Schwinn Peloton with new powder coat and current sram rival group and a 2001 Schwinn Super Sport.
The super sport is getting a newish crank and chain rings and a good cleaning. I think that is enough for me at one time.

WOW DD, some nice projects. Speaking of cranks, I needs some nice NR campys for the OLMO, I think I have everything else from parting out the old Batavus Pro I picked up earlier this week.

The Rossin is going to be a super head-turner with that zippy paint! And the Olmo, too - looks in superb shape, a real survivor. What component group are you putting on the Olmo?

I also need to clear out 15+ donors, they need to go to the co-op, and I just sold five, so that works it down a tad. But I have keeper projects that have waited a long time for their turn (one over a year). I've got a dozen more that need to head to ebay.
Counting them last week was a bit of a shock. Peaked at 101. Need to get it under 50....

Thanks. i would like to complete with Campy NR, however right now it will be a mix of Campy, Cinelli, 3ttt, and a Huret rear derailluer.

Just the one...Vittorio Strada MAX...chainstay(s) replacement, full respray, custom decals, Campy 11s build...who know when it will be done...hinges on fitting the no-longer-to-original-spec MAX chainstays.

A Peugeot Mixte for Mrs. Gomango - Farmer's Market bike. Just about finished so I'll take it off the list.
So, Four.
A 2003 or so Richard Sachs cyclocross frameset. Pre-Pegorichie so ? Will be refinished this late fall/winter. Frame is rough from "many" cross seasons. Next spring is my guess. $$$ for this build/project.
1991 or so Tommasini Super Prestige. Columbus SLX Received all the parts today, but I can't buy enough time to work on it. Maybe next week. This one's close. Will be my son's road bike for our family and group rides.
An early 1990s Walter Croll. 631 Reynolds The eternal project. For my BIL ultimately.
A 1995 De Rosa Giro 'd Italia. EL-OS Campy Chorus 10 speed- I'll just need a wheelset. White and fits me like a glove. Will have picks this weekend if I make it to the cabin.
So two for me, one for the BIL, one for my son, and one for Mrs. Gomango.
I didn't include framesets on hooks in this count. A few may be trade bait.

I am the same, altho it seems like I have 2-3 bikes/frames leaning against the repair stand while I am working on one on the repair stand, so there is definitely a backlog in my garage......lol

While I keep a spreadsheet, it is out of date. So I usually just go the stroll route, see what catches my eye. Certain bikes with frame rust will wait for the next major rust campaign, which is overdue.
