Nishiki identification. Partridge Family paint scheme.
This Nishiki is on my local CL.
Has anyone seen this bike before? If so please school me on what it is.
Thanks

Do a search for Nishiki catalog and you might find something interesting. I did the search and this is what I found. Took less that a minute...

Hope that is a help.

No included fork? Or just not pictured?
We seem to have established that it's an Altron 7000 (to my satisfaction, at least). Neat frame. One wonders what might have taken the fork out of commission, though, assuming it's not 'in the picture' at all...
If you go check it out, ask the seller if he has any of that Sprint stuff that came stock on the Altron left over other than what's still on the frame, I'm looking for a couple of things!

Validation!! Cool.
To me, the nice parts of the Altron were the components used for the build. Frame is just another on a long list of Japanese aluminum frame bikes, fine, but not spectacular. With those parts gone (and if the fork is gone too), my interest would go to zero. If if has a fork, then I would be interested, as it had a nice paint job.

A little late to the party but I have personal experience with these bikes. I had one a while back. Gotta love the Partidge Family paint scheme.

I am not crazy about aluminum framed bikes but this one looks very interesting

I bought the frame. It has a SunTour Sprint groupo and the paint is in excellent condition, it has a nice seat post but it is missing the clamp and the bolt.I think I did well considering they only wanted $40
Thank you all for your help.
