Looking For That 1890's Article On "Bicycle Face"

I have tried the search engine here and google with zero success. Does anyone have a link or recall where the article came from where they warned about getting "bicycle face" from riding too hard??

I would love to have that on my favorites list.

I recall a vintage article for female riders, I think somewhere in it basically said it's unlady like to get bicycle face. Was pretty funny.

Robert Hurst's contemporary "Bicycle Stink Face" rant adds scientific relevance to the turn-of-the-century hypothesis: http://www.industrializedcyclist.com...tink_Face.html

Thanx Kurt! That was hilarious. Wow, I'll never ride 16mph on a bike path again.

On another note, someone needs to write a version of that for SoreFeet. "Brooks Customer Service Stink Face."

Very funny, thanks for the link. It seems like this part of the article could easily be applied to my smart phone instead of a bike,...

The vera causa seems to lie in the extreme instability of the two-wheeled machine, which can never be left to itself for a single moment without dismounting. In this respect bicycling differs from any other occupation whatever. The strain of attending to it may not be very great in itself—sometimes it is and sometimes it is not—but it never ceases, and this incessant tension is the thing which tells upon the nerves.
