How old is this Crescent "världmästarcyckeln" frame?

This is my first post here, so hopefully I'm doing it right and to the right place.

I have built myself a fixie from an old Crescent road bike and I'm really interested to know how old the frame is. The serial number of the frame is 3049058 and I'm interested to know which of us is older. I was "built" in 1974.

Here you can find more pictures of the bike and my build: http://www.jockesalokorpi.com/?p=7580

Here are couple of photos to wake up the interest:

Anybody can help me find more info?

I would say you both are the same vintage, though I doubt you have a "ashtabula " BB. In the &0's these bikes were sold in Canada By Docksteader . There was a Reynolds 531 model that available, a lugged frame. Restore those Oldies !

I'm not really sure what ashtabula BB means, but I guess BB is bottom bracket. I'm a newbie in fixing bikes (but definitely will be doing more in the future), I just love riding. Anyway, what I do know is that I had to buy a "Fauber" adapter with an Italian thread(?). Then my brother ordered me the new parts, like the bottom bracket and the crankset to fit the adapters. I don't know if this makes any sense, but yeah, that part of the old bike was a bit different from what they are today.

By the way... I'm considering to re-paint my fixie and try to get the same orange color as the old bike had. I wonder is there any way to find out what that color is? Also, is it possible to order some crescent stickers or is there any other way to get the original logos on the frame. Anybody know?

Crescent made a huge amount of bikes called Världsmästarcykeln ranging from standard bikes to more high end race bikes.
There is some info on these bikes here: http://www.cykelhobby.com/
it is mostly in swedish but it might be a start.

Thank you very much. There seems to be a lot of info there. I will look for it from there.

You and your Crescent are both the same vintage. Yours is an entry-level 'trainer' with a welded frame, but still a nice rider. I don't know if any of the internet decal sellers have reproduced the distinctive decal sets. Maybe javal or another Swedish member will weigh in with some native expertise.
