Help, Bauer Tri sport

Hi, does anyone have any information on a Bauer Tri Sport? Appears to be a mid or later 80's road bike. I saw one for sale at a LBS and, uninformed as I am, it impressed me. I have been searching for hours and could not find any information. I am not so interested in value since that can be quite subjective. Bike seemed in excellent condition, cromo frame no dings, tracks well, shifts quickly and smoothly, rims are trued and in good condition. I did not check components, seemed fine.
Thanks for any help
Richard
