Acorn Bags - needs a mule to smuggle out of USA?
I love the USA, the shopping, the cheap(er) gas and world-class buffets and drive-thru liquor.
BUT, damn it, I thought I had an ACORN bag sewn up and when I went to pay with paypal, I was denied, only allowing USA-based paypal addresses!
I have an American shipping address all setup, but couldn't pay..
Does C&V have any volunteers for paypal transfers.........

Scott! Long time no hear!!
I am working on a Miele worthy of your collection (kinda), but it needs a bag for the keys/phone/wallet that I don't trust riding along with my daughter in the rear trailer!
Bags were made available this morning, and I thought I was good with a US shipping address - until I discovered that an American paypal address is also a requirement (got that when I was checking out, talk about a sting)
I'm on the East coast, so the 9am PST availability works for me.
I decided to write an email, so I'll let you know what they respond with. Their handlebar bag really seems to be unique one that seems to have features other bags haven't really addressed:
Medium size
Doesn't require decular
Rear pockets that can be opened/closed with one hand using turnbuckle fasteners
And I have read that it seems to be a hit with riders using Moustache bars and Moustache bar handlebar bags are difficult to find.
I wrote the email since their shopping process seems to be a bit complicated if I were to receive help...
1. bags are made available at a specific time
2. helper would need to purchase via paypal at that time
3. helper would have to receive the bag, not fall in love with it and then ship it to Canada.... (this step could take years)

home-grown/sourced and produced quality cycling bag from bikeforums
and many of the other cycling blogs on the web. With the creative
originality and purposeful good-looks, I knew, a $97 handlebar bag,
had to be mine.
I tried to purchased a bag this morning (oh no, not another one of
those!), but even with an American shipping address, I was
unsuccessful due to the requirement of an American paypal account! It
was in my cart and everything as I just got onto the order page, after
waiting past the "page being updated" notice.
I will admit, I do want to use your fine bike-bags just north of the
boarder, in Canada, and would like the opportunity to support fellow
cyclists with a fantastic interest in vintage hardware!
Could a tan or olive medium handlebar bag be made available? I even
have a Fedex shipping account number that would alleviate you of all
trouble of customs, lost in the mail, confiscated at the boarder type
problems that some transactions would produce.
I really don't want to fill this gap with Wal-Mart......
Pretty please??

Hi Everyone,
The response for assistance has been deeply appreciated- (I wasn't expecting anyone, but I received a few PMs, thanks!)
Not sure if it was more work to get teased with an email from acornbags.com about bags being available at 9am the next morning (i signed up to be notified when the bags would be made available, not knowing of the US paypal restriction) , then
try to order just to be denied due to US Paypal restrictions, OR google some blogs and find a stray 4-month-old comment about a bag for sale, email the contact address and actually find its still available and still in NEW condition!
And it JUST arrived this morning!
I'll get pics up soon as the bike meets the bag, but I figure I should close this off for now!
