I just want to boast for a second.

You all find some amazing things and fantastic deals. I'd say i've found a couple in my time. I don't check craigslist much these days, so it was a pure stroke of fate that I came across this deal yesterday.

Mavic Open pro rims, Ultegra 6600 hubs and double butted wheelsmith spokes. They seriously look brand new.... all for $100.00 . Now my set of 105 hubs and Open sports can find a new home.

I'm pumped, I had to shout it from the roof tops. Sorry!

Hey M!
Can I call you a "braggadocio" now? -Or is that term reserved for Italian rims and hubs?

(Congrats on your score. I like the rims especially.)

Yeah, you're going to have to combine french and japanese for this. What can I say, I hate to brag!

M,

Sometimes the best deals aren't necessarily a complete bicycle! Now, in order to appease the C & V Bike Gods for your bounty you must ride swifter,
and always stop at a road side lemonade stand run by little kids.

I can do that, though my bikes gearing will need changed to ride really fast... maybe some fancy craigslist chainrings will rain down upon me. I always stop for kids at lemonaid stands. I look at those anguished, "why won't anyone stop" expressions and remember wearing one as a kid myself.

Now, if I stop for lemonade and find out that I don't have a quarter to pay.... I will definitely have to ride swifter!

Sweet deal. I've received a ton of good wheel part deals recently as well. $20 for a pair of coated open pro rims, $30 for those hubs you have listed, $40 for daytona hubs. $100 for a built up new wheelset with those parts is a steal though.

I celebrated by taking my daughter for her first bike ride. We still need to fix that no helmet issue... so we stayed in the neighborhood and kept it to 25 minutes. She seemed to love it. Dad is going to need some exercise.

Congrats on the new wheels. Your daughter is adorable! Glad to hear she has a passion for bikes. (My daughter loves riding in her trailer, too, but when she sees me watching the Tour de France, I have to endure taunts of "Boring bike race, boring bike race!" )

Nothing wrong with sharing the "luck of the score"

Good news is better than bad news - despite what the media would have us believe!

Love the pic of your daughter in the trailer; I wish those had been around in my day...

Awesome score!

Yet another sweet deal on used wheels. They are out there. Nice score!

Beautiful wheels, but I'm not sure that anything with an Ultegra logo can be called C&V.

That beautiful smiling girl is rather new as well isn't she ? Great set of wheels by the way, I paid well over three times as much here for the same setup handbuilt for my CX-bike.
