Thanks for asking. I guess I shouldn't put a car photo here (since we are about bikes), so here's a link to my Smugmug photos. There are separate files for the Raleigh Professional and the Austin Healey. They're in separate files along with my other projects and crazy hobbies.

Not a very hard choice since I only own one C&V bike. Still have a lot of work I want to do on this one but I love the way it rides.

My favorite is a 1990 Ricardo Pinnacle. Since this pic i've put on Mavic 4CD rims and turned the bars down a little other than that it's original and not my newest or best kept bike, has some panta about it but this bike just works perfect for me. I think it's a combination of many things like the groupset frame geometry the bar shape how good the brakes are the silky smooth hubs and the way it seem to roll over hills by it's self whatever it is it just works.
A pleasure to ride all day

That's a gorgeous C-195, but isn't the last photo in that folder a bit bigger and a little more modern?
I redid the panel in my '63 C-172D several years ago.

I don't do long rides, but I try to ride a swift 40 - 70 minutes every day that the rain is not pelting down. I live on the flats in front of the sea (a part of which was devastated and scoured by the great tsunami of 2011). And so, this is a single speed cuz I don't really need another 7 cogs. Oh yeah, it can be a struggle if a west wind blows up out of Mongolia/Siberia during my return run back home. But, this is my current favorite ride despite the limitations. I get a thrill each time I coast down the little driveway out of our house into the street — heading for the levees on the Hirose and Natori rivers.
On this thread, there are a ton of cool bikes I'd love to own (as well as the Cessna 195 —drool). But this rare Simplon 4 star just does it for me. It is the one bike I've ever had that urges me onto the drops so that I push harder. It drives on a single speed, free-hub conversion. Modern wheels fit into a 126 mm spread. The axle was cut. The wheel re-dished. A shim kit was used to align the chain on a Sugino 75 crank spider that mounts a 42T second chainring. The cog is 16T. Pure efficiency, and the frame rides like a cloud, but with racing-bred nimbleness. Totally stable. These days it has a Bontrager "Form Fit" saddle. Reynolds 531 frame tubes; the others — dunno. Someday I want a better wheel-set, but the current one stays true as Robin's arrow.

Today I have a new favorite, my De Rosa Professional.
My wife and I are out on the Habitat for Humanity ride.
She's riding her Primato.
Here are some pics from the local Wheels of Italy show last year.

1985 Trek 520. An older photo. The bike now has new bar wrap, new brake hoods, new handlebar bag, and new tires. Tossed the bogus mirror, which I haven't replaced yet. Probably the most pristine example of an '85 520 in the world (incredible, but true). Ok, it's not my personal favorite, but only because it's a "garage queen" that doesn't get ridden. If I actually had the nerve to ride the h*&! out of it, then it would be my personal favorite. Hope I'm not bending the rules here too much.

I am have to go with my '90 Trek 790. It has no pedigree to speak of Compared to the other pretty machines here. However, it is lugged steel that goes anywhere in all four seasons, handles 42mm tires with fenders, will carry 100 lbs, and it is under my arse around 5-days per week for work, errands, or chasing the kids about. I thought about some other canidates about the garage (most are prettier), but I am going to have to stick with the bike with the most utility.
I'm sure my Diamondback will usurp once I've had a chance to do more than a short test ride, but I'm going with my Schwinn Mirada. It is heavy, and almost impossible to go at a speed that could be considered fast, but it just brings me joy when riding it, like a bike should.
