Chrome Paramount

3 Attachment(s)
Thanks to Biblio Bob I now have a Chrome Paramount. After looking at his incredible collection he was willing to part with this beautiful bicycle.

Chrome is perfect except for some tiny scratches. I need of a few parts though

Chrome cable guides, NR Pedal dust cap, NR gum rubber hoods.

I will relace the wheels with spokes that are the proper size and polish it all up and we will have a winner. This will be a slow project due to the fact its warm out and Id rather ride than polish bicycle parts.

More pictures to follow in time.

Beauty - looking forward to the build.

I have a '72 in chrome. That 531 decal is too new for that!

NR Pedal dust cap, NR gum rubber hoods.
enjoy the auctions on that <C> stuff..

MKS clone pedal dust caps are copied well enough to be interchangeable.

Too bad they didn't clone the Record OR pedal too..
those are a cold day in hell to find replacements.

You're going to blind people with that beauty.

I have a Campy rear derailleur clamp-on cable stop if you are needing that. PM me if interested.

That's a beauty of a frameset - going to build up into a beauty of a bicycle, too :)

I'll be watching this with interest.

The Chain stay cable stop is in tact. Were good. I did get the bicycle ready to ride..though it was dirty and needed an overhaul. I just have this habit of stripping them down, cleaning them then building back up.

Oh yeah. I also need some 64-42 cinelli bars for it. The 38s are too narrow

+1!

Here's a question I have for you chrome owners - if you're cruising around in the sun, does does the surface of the bicycle get hot? They sure are pretty, but I keep remembering some of the brandings I've received from chrome car bumpers in the past.

Nope; can't say the frame gets hot at all.

Well the chrome reflects, so it should technically get cooler if anything, right? Black bikes would be the ones getting hotter I suppose.

That's true - must be the metal the bumper is made out of, rather than the finish.

Congratulations! One thing you need to make yourself aware of is once you get the first one.......it won't be the only one. Those things can get addictive.

I have full confidence that you'll provide and maintain the blingy finish that I never could. She'll be better off with you. Sniff, sniff.....
