Fischer mixte???

Found this at a thrift store. It says Fischer on it. It is a Mixte but I have never heard of Fischer. The rims are exactly the same as my peugeot mixte. The gearing system says "Sachs Huret Commander". I have never completely redone a bike before but this thing shows promise (not for getting $$$$ out of it but for satisfaction). Any info on Fischer and this bike would be greatly appreciated.

It looks like a low end German bike to me. It would be fun to fix up, but I wouldn't want to put too much into it.

Webshots is bailing out, if you find any of my posts with corrupt picture files and want to see them corrected please let me know. :(
