Vintage Bike Store / Parts in New York City ?? Help me plan my road trip =)

Hi!... well.. I live in Toronto, Ontario, Canada... I know of all the sweet little spots to go in Toronto to find all the good deals and rare parts in Toronto...

I'm headed to New York City in a couple weeks and I wanted to know what bike shops I should check out?? any places that have used vintage parts? even expensive NOS parts? or just new road bike parts?

or even large stores with cheap prices... up in Canada we get pretty screwed on prices since most of the parts that stores sell come through the US and the prices get jacked up at the border...

also any deals we find online are often no longer a deal after paying taxes and brokerage fees after they cross the border...

It would be great if I could get a list of places / addresses where I could find some deals on both New / Used / NOS Road bike / Fixed Gear / Vintage parts =)

thanks in advance!!!

I tried this in the regional forums when I was heading down to NYC for a family wedding in Jersey, not too much juicy info provided there, but here's the thread:

I'd be very interested in what C&Vers have to say, though I suspect that the 'deals' are indeed to be found elsewhere than in shops...

But it looks like you're casting a wide net - so I'm sure there should be a variety of suggestions. It is certainly true that sticker prices is Canada on almost anything are way out of line with US/UK/EU prices, so it's worth noting that 'regular price' is a deal often as not for us north of the 49th parallel...
