Peugeot Mixte for 10 bucks?

Just going to build it into a single speed for the girl friend or sell it I guess.

The only damage on the bike that I could find. If I convert it, that won't matter anyways since it'll get new wheels.

Single speed ? Why not add a rack and some fenders, tune up and let her have a nice commuter ? Of course maybe she is into the single speed thing...I dunno. Either way, for $10 bucks I say great find !

Cheers,

Joe

Well, now the bike is too small for her. Guess this just turned into a flip.

Wanna buy it?

Only if it doesn't require shipping.

If this bike is too small, bad news: 99% of the mixtes out there are this size. Mixtes are somewhat difficult to find, larger mixtes are just about impossible to find. While I have found about 20 mixtes over the last few years, I have yet to have a large one.

As is, you should be able to get $50 to $75 for it, fully refurbished, $175 to $200. This is in a good/average market, in a red hot market, adjust up.

I sold one just like it last year (although mine had alloy rims). To the average buyer, I do not see much difference price wise between the alloy and steel rim versions. Its more about aesthetics.

Now is a great time to sell it, you should attract the back to school crowd. I sold two Pug mixtes to a pair of college roommates. Back to school time is the best time of year sales wise for me. YMMV.

Please don't confuse ebay "asking" prices with "selling" prices. Many sellers never get their ask price. some are far from it. Value is determined once an item actually SELLS. Its easy enough to check SOLD prices.
