giant kronos vs. Diamondback Master tg
I am new to road cycling and am looking at two used bikes to get started. They're the same price around 250. One is a early 90's Giant Kronos and the other is a early 90's Diamondback Master TG. Both seem to be in good shape. Didn't know if y'all had any thoughts.

does the giant have tubulars? Go for the DB if so.... Can't tell what group the Giant has, could be exage, the Diamond back has 105 so unless the Giant has that or better, I think the DB is looking a little better.

giant kinda looks like it has tricolor... if thats true then go with the giant. they're both pretty cool though

The Giant does have exage. is that better/worse? I don't know if they have tubulars here's the best shot I have of the rims.

"tricolor" is Shimano 600 with a 3 color logo, like this: 
I'd go with the Diamondback.. It's likely got Shimano 105 which is nicer than Exage. Plus I'm a Diamondback/Centurion fanatic

people's opinion on biopace usualy runs from "never noticed a difference" to "I don't like em".. kinda a fun oddity but not a reason to buy the giant over the DB

Exage is a step below 105, it is hard to tell what kind of rims the giant has. The diamondback has newer rims and tires and a pretty component group. But the diamond back, it has better components and wheels and the frame are probably close to equal, if anything the diamond back has a better frame being a better speced model. If the prices are nearly the same and they both fit, the diamond back is hands down the better value.
Edit: it appears the giant might have 105 derailleurs, but an older generation and exage crank and brakes. Some people like biopace, but most don't... if it not clear.
I think this is what you need to know right now.
The diamond back is a much better equipped machine with newer parts and was a more expensive bike to begin with. Buy the DiamondBack.

I would go with the DB. Has Tange OS tubing with IMO is nicer than the Giant. Looks like the DB has tighter geometry. I owned a very similar DB interval back in the day and liked it quite a bit.
Edit: Agree with the comments that the DB was a nicer and more expensive bike in the day.

another reason to go with the Diamondback is the Master TG is the "spiritual sucessor"of the Ironman Master. plus the graphics are sweeter
