I'll be there. I was planning to bring my 1950 Norman Rapide, but decided not to at the last moment. I have my 2010 Bilenky 650B Constructeur Tandem with me and may enter that in the show. We'll see.

I don't know why but I read the title as Lars Ulrich Swap Meet. Any drums involved?

Would like to finally set up this year (for the first time there) but work gets in the way. Will certainly swing by as a buyer though!

What's this show like? Show and swap? Decent chance of scoring deals on used parts or mostly people asking ebay prices? Admission fee?

I should bring some junk down.. I can't remember if there was a fee but it's a very casual affair and there are plenty of deals to be had.

I happened upon Larz last year and liked it enough that I planned my vacation around it this year. How's that for an endorsement? Unfortunately, though I planned to bring along my Norman Rapide to enter in the show, that didn't work out for this trip so it stayed home. I may enter the Bilenky, but that's up in the air too.

There's a $10 admission that kind of kills it for me.

Really?? $10 for a day's worth of bike geekery is well worth it. The stuff at Larz is different and unique compared to other shows I've been to. With that said, I think the admission is more than last year.

If I can talk Sharon into it we might try to ride our Peugeot over to it. It would be about 8 1/2 urban-ish miles, not our favorite sort of run. It's not likely though. We're playing a show on Nantucket the night before so it will be a late night.

What would anyone take a bike to a swamp meet? Those skinny wheels will just sink. In a swamp it's good only as an boat anchor.
Uh, Rosanna, that's not swamp meet, it's swap meet.
Huh? What? Oh, that's very different. Never mind.

Will be the first year I miss in a good few years, it's one of my favorites of the year because of the quality and diversity of the stuff that shows up. Damn softball tournament.

That being said, the coordinator is kind of an asshat

I plan on going, as i live about 1 mile away.

it's supposed to rain in the afternoon, so get there early! is there anyway we can identify ourselves, as it'd be nice to meet some of you. we could all just gather around photogravity's 650B tandem, as I'm sure there will only be one of those!

i'll be riding my 1974 Fuji Special Road Racer:

any one going to the larz anderson swap this weekend?

I saw that Romic that Matt was selling. Thought about it, decided it was too large, that I had too many projects already and instead bought the SA 3-4 speed shifter Matt had. Compared to last year Larz was a little disappointing, but I think the threatening weather kept a lot of folks and vendors away.

BTW, I didn't take the Bilenky in as I needed to go to Hyannis and left shortly after 11 AM.

lmao children age 6-12 have to pay an admission fee. positively absurd. the only reason kids that age would go is to have quality time with a parent, don't know many who would just love to go look at bicycles.

in fact, i really have no clue why anyone would charge an admission fee. this stuff should be done out of fun/love of people's hearts. i guess i could see it if the organizers had to pay some money to rent a show space or whatever, but a lot of people go to that show and at $10 a pop the organizers are definitely making money
