Not in the post, but I picked up a Cinelli seatpost bolt for my Atala from Billydavid today. Really highlights the frame's patina pretty well, don't you think?

With the help of Chrome Molly. Thank you.
Not the highest quality tire, but sometimes it is better to look marvelous instead of feeling marvelous.

Crap picture, but all the pieces for my wife's drop-bar conversion on the Trek 7900 showed up the same day. Nitto stem, Shimano bar-ends and brake levers:
...All the pieces except the bars, anyway.

A set of Exage 6-speed downtube shifters, soon to be mounted on Shimano pods for a 6-speed bar end shifter setup for my Trek 420. Here it is, mounted on the pod. It works!

A set of Tektro calipers. Haven't even opened the package I know what's in it. Haven't had the time.

Last night I came home from work to find this nice addition for my moto GR build...
Campy Record high flange hubs laced to Nisi tubular rims

The rims are the serrated type. It came with Hutchinson Super Sprint tires in decent condition.

Wheelset also came with a Suntour Winner 13-26 5 speed freewheel (nos). This freewheel will give me a little more flexibility for hills.

The condition of these wheels is really better than I hoped. They are nice and shiny, true and have butted stainless spokes (36). A on spoke head; Alpina? A big upgrade from the Normandy wheelset I had planned from my Gitane Interclub.
Now if only the snow would melt...

Nice score! I always love a new set of wheels, especially if they were nicer than I was expecting.

Yep. I didn't want to go with a full rear rack since the frame only has one set of eyelets. A big purchase when combined, but when you know what you want/need...
Still less than the price of a prom dress for the kid. At least I assume so (wife said, "you don't wanna know").

Got a set of Campy SR levers yesterday from Dave Moulton (he blogged about a failed eBay sale of them recently). Might go well on my '81 Masi GC (Moulton-built, I believe).

Today I got an Ideale Rebour saddle. It came from Italy. Seemed to take forever...

It came off CL. A Nitto Moustache bar 26.0 with lots of thick adhesive. Very cheap. Spent 40 minutes cleaning off residue with Goof Off. Now it's sparkling.

I took advantage of the strong Dollar --> Euro exchange rate and pulled the trigger on up a pair of NOS Campagnolo globe logo hoods from Italy. The seller shipped fairly quickly, but still took over a month for the package to finally arrive.

I hear ya. Poste Italiane isn't the most efficient postal service in the world. For future reference, while I was waiting for my Ideale saddle to arrive (a few posts above), I discovered that once it had been scanned at the sorting facility in Milan, I could learn more about its status from usps.com than from Poste Italiane.

24 copies of my book. Taking them to Nevada City tomorrow at the invitation of my brotha from anotha motha Chris Kelly, the frame builder. He wants me to perform with him at an open mike on Tuesday (the Kelly boys on St. Paddy's Day), then go on his radio show on Wednesday to talk bikes, ride bikes in between.

I bought a grab bag of Campy parts several months ago with two NR RD's without the upper pivot bolts. I have been hunting for replacements and thought of asking @Drillium Dude if he had any. He said he just put some in the BOC. One had a bent back strap and the bolt could not be pulled and I should contact @photogravity. I did, but he had just shipped the box off to @crank_addict. So I set a note to him and he said yeah, I will send it to you. It came yesterday. Thanks to all three of you for your support!

So I thought what the heck, lets straighten this thing or break it.

Well, I was a bit surprised to find that this material had some spring to it, hence the secondary operation.
The bolt was pressed out using deep sockets from a 1/4" and 1/2" drive. Dont' know if it is good enough yet, need to test it on one of the "good" RD's. Thought you might be interested. I think the body is in decent condition for use if the bore the bolt goes in is not oval.

My first tubies! (except for the worn out ones already on my first set of tubie rims, Mavic GP 4's.)

Yeah, they're the cheapie Vittoria Ralleys; a little under $50 shipped from jolly olde Ribble in England. I'll likely take a step up in quality after I've figured out the whole tubular process with these. Since I've never done this before, I'll probably put glue on the wrong side or some dumb thing...
