I'm sure you've read up on all the techniques, but here are a couple things I find useful (in addition the the usual steps of stretching them, etc):
- A bit of inflation (just enough to help it hold its shape) while gluing helps. I put in some air, then stand the now hula hoop on my workbench and let it lean against the wall behind.
- Paste flux brushes are your good friend.
- Rotate as you go so you're always applying glue to the part of the hula hoop near the workbench.
- Disposable gloves are your best friend.
- Cover the base tape completely, but no further out.
- A crappy apron is your BFF.
- Once fully glued, I find someplace to balance the hula hoop on its valve stem so the glued tape doesn't touch anything else (well, as little else as possible.

And I've worked with contact cement in various forms lots of times, so I think I actually get the basic idea; its just a matter of prepping and execution now. Garmin Forerunner 610 kit
Decided to upgrade from my 305 for a little more compact design, better heart rate strap, and wireless connectivity. I have Edge 500 for bike, this is mainly for hiking and working out. It's a factory refurb, but I've had good luck with refurb'ed products in the past. We'll see how it works out.

ok, so not everything came today, but over the last while I received good stuff from @sloar (Zeus cranks, RD, FD, shifters), @sonatageek (very dark brown Brooks saddle and a Cuyahoga Valley National Park visitor map - nice touch), @mrv (tricolour hub), @Ed. (shoes) and @Crankaddict (universal levers). Jersey from the bay - Verzelli is an LBS in Toulon, France. Don't know what USTT is but I like the blue and the Peugeot-like checkerboard pattern.

I bought a grab bag of Campy parts several months ago with two NR RD's without the upper pivot bolts. I have been hunting for replacements and thought of asking @Drillium Dude if he had any. He said he just put some in the BOC. One had a bent back strap and the bolt could not be pulled and I should contact @photogravity. I did, but he had just shipped the box off to @crank_addict. So I set a note to him and he said yeah, I will send it to you. It came yesterday. Thanks to all three of you for your support!

Well, I was a bit surprised to find that this material had some spring to it, hence the secondary operation.
The bolt was pressed out using deep sockets from a 1/4" and 1/2" drive. Dont' know if it is good enough yet, need to test it on one of the "good" RD's. Thought you might be interested. I think the body is in decent condition for use if the bore the bolt goes in is not oval.

Glad you could get the bolt out, too. I've gotta know: what seemed to be keeping it stuck in the body? For the life of me I just couldn't figure that one out.
Awesome that we got the part to the right person with a bit of coordination. I love it when it all works out

If you recall, the bolt has two bearing surfaces, one at the head and the other next to the threads. The larger surface is by the head and measured 11.44mm dia. The smaller surface (width) measured 11.44 toward the head end and 11.55 next to the thread. So the part is damaged with the edge "mushroomed with a nominal diameter 0.11mm larger in diameter. This would account for the bolt not coming out of the bore. I used a drift punch to remove it which may have shaved the bore out to the larger diameter. When I get to it, I will put a known good bolt in to see how much damage was done to the bore.

Patrick: interesting; I wonder how that happened? Maybe it was compressed against the dropout derailleur hanger ear in the accident that deformed the back plate on the body of the derailleur itself. As good a guess as any, I suppose.
