I am going all wonky over Compass tires.
I used to poo-poo them till I finally tried a set.
Well, I was wrong, they are very nice.

Bottom bracket for my Cino ride came in. Got the longest sealed BB I could find on the 'Bay, but I still need to scrounge up a spacer to keep the tiny chainwheel from rubbing.

Ed I had a very similar box on Friday, new Mavic Open Pros to replace the taco'd rear and now non matching front Reflex rims. They tripled my wheel building experience, they are at LBS get checked. Look good though

Your patch goes well with the bike that I received today: a late 1940's Gerbi with cambio corsa. Gerbi was given the nickname "il diavolo rosso" which translates to the "red devil". It rides quite well even though I will need a slightly longer seatpost and the bend of the bars is rather unique...

A sampling of what I picked up for $50 at an estate sale today. The crank is a DA, which was a nice surprise. The owner must have really strived to keep things nice, since he put tape over the arms to protect from rub. The best stuff is shown, but there are lots of 8/9 speed cassettes and BB's also.

Second item, 600 headset so I can 600 up my 89 Schwinn Tempo frame. No more frame buying just building the ones I have and upgrading the ones I have already.
Thanks Sloar!

- Galli derailleurs, brakes and crank. I now have nearly a complete group. I already have a rear hub and some iffy toe clips. I think all I need is a front hub. (Did Galli make/rebrand any other parts - stem, seatpost, handlebar?) The rear derailleur is a bit dinged up, but I think @Drillium Dude can probably fix that.
- SR SunTour folding pedals. For an old Dahon folder I got on vacation last winter.
- 3TTT Competizione handlebar. For my 1970 Atala.
Anybody need some sorta beat up white Campagnolo brake hoods?

I received a NOS Raleigh front hub 28 hole. It's marked "Sturmey Archer" very lightly around the center.

I also received a NOS 28 hole Sturmey Archer AW hub
I'll build 20" (ETRO 451, not 406) wheels front & rear for the 1971 Raleigh Twenty, for which the bike was originally designed. Just waiting on the rims.

These nice bibs, bought for $20 on ebay. They look brand new.

I've had good luck buying bib shorts on ebay. This is the fourth set I've bought for between $20-27, and all have been in excellent shape and fit me right.

Better than mail, this was hand delivered by forum member Steve W..
Look away purist, I'm going to build another theme / tribute bike for another granddaughter. These girls can get competitive! Far cooler than some big box store bike and the cost to build really is not much more. The first one completed was a 70's era Motobecane faux BiC / Ocana tribute, with Campagnolo NR / SR, Brook's, etc.. This one will be just as fun to do.
Perfect sized 50cm. Has to have some pop, so thinking of a Team Z scheme and graphics. Though will get some early old school backdate. Want the kids to appreciate the older stuff and hopefully learn a little cycling history. With that, might build with a full Suntour Cyclone group. Of course top feed brake lever cables, dt shifters, toe clips, tubulars.
Kind of funny how things work out. I spotted the ad on CL and posted the link here. Only had mild interest in it but not enough to go out of my way for it. Steve ended up getting it yet I had no idea what he had planned. Only inquired should he ever decide to unload the small frame, to keep me in mind. Cheer's!

got a DiamondBack Ascent MTB frame and fork that's hopefully in my size(23"). I recently picked up an '85(I think) DiamondBack Apex bike which is too small and in worse condition- I think itll be a donor bike for the Shimano Deerhead components.
Lookin forward to some old MTB refurbishing!

I received an alloy-railed Ideale 90 from @Brewsmith. He even threw in a couple complimentary cozies from his brewery, Raleigh Brewing Company, which are much appreciated and will get some good use this summer! Thanks again!
