Looks like Christmas in June at your place @Junkboyjude! Please be ready for a shock when you go after the correct jockey wheels for the RD if you don't already know how much they are going for. You can buy a complete thrashed RD for parts and get the jockeys for your needs, much cheaper than you can get just some of the Campagnolo jockey wheels in decent condition.

Kudos on the parts, that chain and freewheel are drool worthy for certain.

Picked up a Batavus Randonneur GL yesterday. Drove it 23Km back home and it felt pretty comfortable. Needs some work though. At the very least I will replace the levers and install crosslevers for some extra braking options and replace the lighting to a more modern LED solution. Perhaps even put on some wider gearing but I'll have to figure out if it's just a cassette or lots more that I have to replace. Anyway, great project for this weekend.

More pics here.
Size is a 64cm frame for those wondering.

You arent kidding Mr. Bill about the RD cogs price. These are soma i think ? 15 dollars. i saw some for 55 i think for campys. That was my thought as well though, buy a junker RD just for the wheels !! lol
I just like the look of the drilled chain, may not have been a standard chain for the Masi but it was around and could hace been asked for or replaced. I found out My Uncle Mark Trione ordered his 75 Masi with Fiame Yellow Label Ergal Rims !! He said he thought they held up better than Martanos. Anyways... I have some cool stuff coming this week
Also thanks for the Boulder Bicycles Tip. Their stuff arrived today !!! Awesome Price, Super fast Delivery !! I ordered brake and shifter cables from Yellow Jersey talked to htem on the phone. Super nice people

I'm unreasonably excited about this. BDop offset brake pad holders for my 650B Sequoia. Since they were only another $5 per pair I decided to try the BDop pads too.

@Flog00 kindly offered these items to me. They just arrived and I can't wait to get some of these items mounted. The saddle is rich dark brown Selle Royal "Touriste L" that will go on my metallic blue Trek 420 mixte.

More Rims

Hot off the UPS Truck. One set of Fiame Gold Label Ergal Rims. They have older Galli Hubs with just the weird looking Galli Insignia on them. I will be wanting to swap out the Galli hubs for Campy Records I imagine. I want to ride these rims and use the Martanos I have coming for a showcase. I would feel better about breaking these rims than i would the Martanos

I got a beautiful 5-speed Regina FW from @obrentharris. I like these older Regina freewheels, but I've sworn off the versions with the 2-prong notched bodies more commonly seen on 5-speed freewheels. I was thrilled to find this one with the splined body and a generous 30t low gear. I'm planning to put it on my Speedwell with a Suntour Cyclone GT RD I've had in my parts bin. Thanks, Brent!

Not bike related or "Vintage" but to my eyes "Classic".

Came via UPS while I was out of town, so a big surprise when I got home...a fathers day gift from my wife. Wrong shoe trees but hey they were what I had!

A little leather conditioning, a quick wax and polish, then good to go.

My daughter got me a nice piece of Neon and I will post it in the Fathers Day thread if I can find it.

Regards, Ben

Now that my Univega Viva Sport upgrade is done to Gran Primio/Miyata 710-like specs, I plan to start a much needed refurb of my beloved old Fuji S-10S.

I ordered all new cabling -- slick stainless inner wires for the 40-year old SunTour barcons and reusing the original coiled stainless bare housing, as well as teflon-lined brake cables with stainless inner wires for the brakes.

I'm still on the fence about whether to replace the original DiaCompe centerpulls for Tektro dual pivots or not -- I LOVE the 'stopping power' of the dual pivots that I put on my other bikes! Yes, I put new brake pads on the Fuji's centerpulls last year, but they still feel very 'spongy' in comparison to the bikes with dual-pivot brakes... Also the original chromed toptube brake cable clamps have developed too much 'patina' of surface rust, so I ordered stainless replacements from Wiggle...

Very nice. Love AEs. You know they're good when you take them to a cobbler for new heels and the grumpy old guy behind the counter pauses and says "nice shoes".

They'll last you a lifetime and be sure to take advantage of their reconditioning service when needing re-soled.

I was looking online for cheap fat tires to put on my '91 Diamond Back Venture and I saw these at Ribble for $11.16 apiece. Then the shipping was under $6. I ordered them on the 21st and they were here when I came home last night. Score!

They're on this one now, with pretty close to what the old English guys called ***-paper clearances - maybe I should get a pack of Bugler cigarette papers and confirm that!
