Hey, I got a pair of tubulars in the mail today, too!
Yellow Jersey Servizio Corsas, to be sure, but I'm not complaining - I finally have rubber for the Masi's new wheels.
There's a side story about them: I passed them to shnibop a couple/three months back during a trade (when I had no use for a second set of tubulars) and I ended up getting them back today due to another trade (bars for tires). Funny how things work out sometimes, eh?

One of these:

Unfortunately, it is made for 22mm bars??!!! Wouldn't fit on my Modolo 26mm center section even with the tubing removed from the U-clamps. Why they don't make these for larger bar sizes I don't know.
Guess I'll get this one instead: (22-29mm)

This (note clever packing trick w/use of zip ties):

This, while not directly bike-related, came in the post yesterday. Definitely a 'classic' design, and helpful for opening bike-related parcels...

The bar in that package is a Modolo Professional, black, but not matte:

Won't bother you with the details of the several books, and the couple of bills, that also arrived on the doorstep this morning...

Black Pearl
I was unsuccessful in my search for a black 10 cm quill stem, so I broke down and bought this absolutely sweet Nitto Pearl on sale at Ben's Cycles. It arrived yesterday and I am not disappointed.

I finally got tired of spending money on cheap freewheels that make odd, semi random clicks. The quality of these is amazing.

NOS SunTour Cyclone DT shifters. Deraileur is still in the mail though so there is no point trying to cable it onto the bike just yet.

My first "modern" jersey came today, usually I'm a wool guy but I couldn't resist the Imperial Beer logo .. I've spent many a hot day in Costa Rica holding one of these.
